The Museu da Cerâmica, in collaboration with CENCAL, will open on July 26th at 17:30, in the Temporary Exhibition room, the exhibition um ano de cerâmica e vidro – cencal. After the opening there will be a conversation with the Italian sculptor and ceramist Emidio Galassi (Faenza International Prize 1983) and the presentation of his work.

in the Museu da Cerâmica's collection

As of March 30th 2012, the exhibition Maria Luísa Fragoso nas Colecções do Museu da Cerâmica is open to the public. Three dozen pieces by this author, a good part in storage and less known to visitors, are shown here.

A series of objects depicting the themes of Easter are included, thus calling for reflection and articulation of the season, with pieces of Biblical character interpreted by Maria Luísa Fragoso in a naive sentimentality and leaked to the lyricism of the characters they represent. Other objects, also full of poetry, interpret other themes, such as religious or popular subjects, as well as utilitarian and decorative objects of modern expression are shown here.

This exhibition will be open to the public in the Museums opening hours, from 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 17:00, from Tuesday to Sunday, in the temporary exhibition room, until July 1, 2012.
